2022 Conference Details

The 2022 ISCE Annual Conference will be held at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Henderson, Nevada starting off with an opening reception the evening of Wednesday April 6th to the Closing Breakfast on the morning of Sunday April 10th. This conference brings together scientists, clinicians, engineers and policy makers working in the field to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas. There is ample free time for the 125 or so participants to discuss ideas of mutual interest either in a formal way or more informally while surrounded by the Mojave’s mountains and desert. 

The program contains many interesting topics. The conference program, starting on Thursday 7th April, will include presentations from world-expert in the field of digital electrocardiology with an emphasis on machine learning and big data. The experts will present the most recent advances in the field of acute myocardial ischemia, bedside monitoring, inverse cardiac modeling, left ventricular hypertrophy, and more.  Also, this year, the conference includes a full session on ECG and consumer devices with speakers from two of the world’s largest technology companies. The Plenary Address will be given by Dr. Stephen Smith who is an attending emergency physician at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) and Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota, MN. He is the author of the famous Dr. Smith's ECG Blog.

As usual, there will be oral and poster presentations of selected abstracts and the final of the Jos Willems Early Career Investigator competition will be held. This is a wide ranging program which will surely appeal to all those with an interest in automated electrocardiology in all its aspects.

The 2022 Conference Chair is Raymond Bond, PhD (Ulster University, Northern Ireland, UK) and the Conference Co-Chair is Salah Al-Zaiti, PhD, RN, FAHA (University of Pittsburgh,  Pittsburgh, PA).

ISCE is excited to announce the special screening of Einthoven Lecture 2022, which this year is the closing talk of the IEEE Milestone Award “String Galvanometer” symposium on April 8 in Leiden. The Award Symposium will be streamed during breakfast on the 8th in order to give the interested ISCE 2022 Conference delegates the opportunity to be among the audience of the speaker, professor Katja Zeppenfeld. Streaming will be done with the same facility as used in the Leiden University Medical Center for remote teaching during Covid and therefore the ISCE attendees will not be able to participate in the Q&A portion of the video, but are encouraged to watch during their time at the ISCE Conference.

All attendee cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations received by March 1, 2022 will be offered a refund less a $75 cancellation fee. No refunds after March 1, 2022. 

COVD-19 Acknowledgement Form

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and its variants (herein referred to as “COVID-19”) exists in any public place where people are present. ISCE will follow the applicable COVID-19 health and safety measures put into effect for the time of the conference by federal, state, and local public health and government officials. Attendance at the in-person conference is limited to all registered participants who have completed the registration process and agreed to the acknowledgement as instructed.

Attendees at the 2022 ISCE Annual Conference will be required to show proof of vaccination or immunity at the registration desk prior to receiving your conference materials, such as your name badge.

Acceptable proof of a COVID-19 vaccination includes a vaccination card, a photocopy of the card, or a photo of the card on a mobile device.

Airport: Harry Reid International Airport is a 30 minute car ride from the Resort. The hotel recommends using Uber and/or Lyft for affordable and convenient rides. A one way ride far costs about $25-$35.
