The 2019 ISCE annual conference will be held at the One Ocean Resort and Spa in Atlantic Beach, Florida (relatively near Jacksonville) from Wednesday April 10th to Sunday April 14th. There will be an opening reception in the evening of Wednesday 10th April. This conference, designed in the Gordon format, brings together scientists, clinicians, engineers and policy makers working in the field to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas. There is ample free time for the 125 or so participants to discuss ideas of mutual interest either in a formal way or more informally in a coffee shop or on the beach!

The program contains many interesting topics. The conference tutorial on Thursday 11th April will update attendees on sub clinical atrial fibrillation, including its clinical significance and its detection. Thereafter, there will be presentations on new standards for automated ECG interpretation, the FDA perspective on device development, wearables, ECG imaging, ECG based decision making, experiences with primary prevention ICDs as well as a session on machine learning as applied to electrocardiology. The plenary talk will be given by Professor Frits Prinzen from the Netherlands and will be about conventional and novel ECG analysis for use in Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy.

As usual, there will be oral and poster presentations of selected abstracts and the final of the Jos Willems Early Career Investigator competition will be held. This is a wide ranging program which will surely appeal to all those with an interest in automated electrocardiology in all its aspects.

The 2019 Conference Chair is Cees A. Swenne, PhD (Leiden University Medical Center) and the Conference Co-Chair is Pyotr G. Platonov, MD, PhD, FESC (Lund University).
