Abstract Submission

The Society is devoted to the advancement of electrocardiography through the application of computer methods. Its annual scientific conference brings together scientists, clinicians, engineers and policy makers working in the field. Since the conference is designed to stimulate the informal exchange of ideas and information, attendance is limited to approximately 125 participants. Topics to be presented at the 2018 Conference:
  • Novel ECG recording and sensor technologies
  • ECG in mobile applications
  • ECG technologies and regulatory guidance
  • ECG and drug development
  • ECG criteria enhancement
  • Repolarization variability and dynamics
  • Cardiac rhythm: diagnosis and dynamics
  • ECG Imaging technologies
  • ECG in cardiac risk stratification
  • ECG and implantable devices
  • ECG and blood pressure
  • Genome-wide association study and ECG
  • Genetic disease and ECG phenotypes
  • Continuous and intermittent ECG monitoring
  • Long- and short-term ECG monitoring

The abstract submission deadline is December 1, 2017  for the 2018 Conference.  Please use the following format when submitting an abstract: 

Line 1:  Title of the abstract
Next Line(s):  Authors’ names, institution, city, (state), country  (see Example for mandatory style).
Next Line:  Blank line
Next Lines:  Body of the abstract, which may include a table (in addition to the 400 words) if appropriate. The recommended structure is as follows:

  • Background - context or background for the research and should state its purpose.
  • Methods - basic procedures (selection of study subjects or laboratory animals, observations and analytical methods)
  • Results - main findings (giving specific effect sizes and their statistical significance, if possible), and 
  • Conclusions - principal conclusions.  This section should emphasize new and important aspects of the study or observations.

Additional guidelines:
No illustrations or references should be included. Please prepare in MS Word. Submissions must be 400 words or less. Please email Susan Wagner with questions.
